Puncture Repairs in Ripley
Why choose us for Puncture Repairs?
At Amber Tyres, we follow industry-standard practices to determine whether a tyre puncture is repairable. The key factors that influence this decision include:
Puncture Location:
Repairs are typically only feasible for punctures located within the central three-quarters of the tyre’s tread area. This is often referred to as the “repairable area.”
Punctures on the tyre’s sidewall or shoulder are generally considered unsafe to repair due to the structural integrity needed in these regions.
Puncture Size:
For passenger vehicles, we can repair punctures up to 6mm in diameter.
For light trucks and commercial vehicles, the maximum repairable puncture size is 10mm.
Tyre Condition:
The tyre must be in good overall condition, with sufficient tread depth and no signs of internal or external damage that could compromise the repair.
We will not repair tyres with significant wear, cuts, or secondary damage such as run-flat damage.
